Oh… I thought it was a clever Tech joke I didn’t get because how much of a noob I’m about it. Not a “boredfrom doesn’t like AI”.

actually I think it tends to be more useful for LLMs than imagery but yeah, offloading various parts of the overhead to system RAM can let you run stuff you can't normally on most consumer hardware, it's usually a lot slower but depending on the operation is better than not being able to do it at all

Pause.

First of all, there are plenty of movies made by black directors (such as Jordan Peele) that aren't "hood" movies. Although im sure you know this already. Im also sure you know I didn't mean it like that. This is very obviously not commentary on every black director in existence. No one is saying that but you. Yet you still went there. Why, I don't know? 🤔

Anyways, step away from the keyboard for awhile and relax, my boy.

Xbox was just... Nothing.
And the Switch 2. What a hot piece of shit.

Switch 2 is great all things considered, basically a portable Series S. Pretty wild.

But Nintendo is mostly busy with copyright, patents and IP laws.

arguable carepost, but whenever people talk about "reads like AI", I am reminded about how twitch streamers have all started to use the same cadence and word choices for years. Or how every influencer ad starts with one of like, three phrases. Or even how my ex talked about redditors always using the world "merely" like they are giving a mad scientist monologue.

We were all starting to sound the same without AI help. I sincerely believe Lauren doesn't use AI at all: but she does put on her best "Dangerously Intellectual Radical Blacktivist" editorial goggles for every stupid post...which ironically end up looking AI generated.

Humans as a whole are guilty of this. The usage of “carepost” is an example in itself.

But increasingly it’s like there’s nothing else. It’s not adding a phrase or perspective to your own. There is no individual to build off on. And I’m aware this is in its own way the old “everybody is a sheep but me” thing. I don’t think it used to be this way. It’s too easy to fall into an insular camp and have zero exposure to anything outside the cult. Be it fear of rejection or total fanaticism. Who among them is brave enough to say “she-hulk is bad, actually.”

Nepenthe uses the exact cadence, words, and sentence structure of Nahisi Coates and Kendi and all their ilk.  You can tell that's all she reads. They all default to the same writing style because it all asserts claims that can't be proven true or false, so it's this weird 'covering' kind of language that throws around buzzwords in place of real vocabulary.  Hard to explain, but Nepenthe nails it.

Yeah, maybe read the room and don't crack jokes in the middle of an unending capitalist hellscape built on Black oppression that's going to kill us all.

...are you from the states? 🤔 Nevermind, you said "mate" and I see you're from Australia. So it is similar to mate but a bit more urban. "My G, my boy", etc are informal ways of addressing someone (northeast slang, where I was born).

I'm curious, what would you call a "hood" Australian film. Do y'all even have that over there?

I also can't say enough good things about John Cena's growth as an actor. I genuinely could see him getting a nomination at the Globes in January and would love to see Holland grab a Best Supporting nomination too. They've both brought nuanced performances this season, especially in the last two episodes, that we don't often get from superhero media.

Currently going on in the Taylor Swift thread, Discussion on if shes a white supremacist (which is an apparent "obvious interpretation") as she sings about wanting kids with her fiance.
