While playing, ill hop back and forth to the og to see whats different and with the exception of the Unreal graphics, its the same fucking game. But damn do the graphics look good (for the most part). I do miss the bloom-y whimsy of the OG.
So recently, my gaming rotation is Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, rinse and repeat.
Im coping hard that Elder Scrolls VI gets reannounced at TGA. Crazy to think the last Elder Scrolls release was FOURTEEN YEARS AGO 11/11/11 Its wild to think of the old days when you could expect a sequel in a year or two. I just dont understand the logistics of game development nowadays. Games have gotten worse imo but it takes longer to make em?

Tried this at the Nintendo Store.
Pretty bad demo but what can you do. It’s the introduction bit with a lot of combat and tutorials. Zero exploration. Finished it before the 10 minute time limit.
Looks fine. Weird to play with double stick aiming. Main actions are mirrored on shoulder buttons and face buttons.

See, that's what I worry about. That this game is too much like "this scripted HALO base would've been cool back on the GameCube"
Anyway more good news

I mean, yes PC GAMER, if memory prices go up all things that use memory will cost more.
This happened before btw, the Asian economy crisis of 1997 was followed by a bunch of supply problems some of which were due to natural disasters. I think it took like three years for RAM prices to drop, it's part of what killed RDRAM because those modules were way too expensive to the point Intel had to abandon it for DDR or Athlon would have completely murdered Pentium. Intel was giving away RDRAM modules with the Pentium 4's because nobody would want to buy them.
tbh I keep thinking of panic buying a GPU for my desktop.
Also missed a $450 Switch 2 + Mario Kart deal.

It’s kind of awful when it tries. Combat felt exactly like old Metroid Prime games. As somebody who played MP2 multiplayer with friends, it’s not great combat on its own. I don’t know if they were afraid of changing anything because fans expected George W Bush nostalgic gaming.
The 2D games added parrying and such. That all could show up later after Samus loses and regains her powers. Again, not the best representation in the demo.
I will say, there’s none of that shit where you shoot a door switch and wait seconds for it to load before opening. Next gen is here.
if you still want anything buy it now. I warned people a couple of months ago. Buy everything you need or want this year.
We're running on the 2025 supply and contracts, next year is going to be a different ballgame.
Thanks to AI there's no hope of getting new chips for personal use until c. 2031 when we have AGI + robotics + nano machine factories

WAR ON CHRISTMAS
thinking about buying a dreamcast. top tier console for me
Seems legit
New F-zero would make sense
From what I've been told Nintendo wants to drop the smaller / B-tier franchises like Metroid, Donkey Kong, Fire Emblem, F-Zero etc. as early as possible and add Smash, Mario, Zelda, Splatoon etc. later.
The idea is that they sell more over the long term, there is space for Switch 2 ed. releases and they can boost sales with heavy hitters later.
Finally, a reasonable length video game essay.
Everyone better be watching tonight.
I know are will be not there watching were I not interested. Rockstar confirms that GTA6 not able there once they are did.

I turned it on and I guess Control 2 is Nier Automata 2.
Okay. Toshihiro Nagoshi is making a real Ryu Ga Gotoku followup?
"Gang of Dragon" lol
Amazing. Legit excited.
Tomb Raider 1 remake...remake...again
https://www.pcgamer.com/games/rpg/larian-reveals-its-divinity-its-biggest-game-ever-even-larger-than-baldurs-gate-3/
Quote:After a mysterious desert statue and trademark-filing snafu, Larian has officially unveiled its next game after Baldur's Gate 3 at The Game Awards. Larian is returning to its home-grown fantasy series with a new entry simply titled Divinity. We do not yet have gameplay or a release window, but Geoff Keighley described it as Larian's "biggest game ever," and "even larger than Baldur's Gate 3."
Why is this still a selling point in 2025?
I don't want bigger games, I want better games. Especially in open world games, bigger usually means more empty space with nothing to do. Give me better experiences in the existing space.
I approve of this remake
I started playing through Routine tonight. What a nightmare. I don't know why, but it really got to me. For some reason hide and seek spooky games, when done right, can be terrifying. The sound design is exceptional. Highly recommended, especially if you like Amnesia, SOMA, and games like that. I got major SOMA vibes playing it.
I'm really excited for this one. It's like Conker's Bad Fur Day if it was made by Remedy Entertainment complete with the live-action segments.

Milf croft
Pragmata seems cool. Like an early Xbox 360 Capcom type game.
I don’t know what the actual game is. If you’re exploring this place or it’s a corridor to corridor fighting robots deal.
Made me wanna replay Binary Domain.
Played the FF7 Intergrade demo on Xbox last night and god damn, nostalgia and a fun new combat system
I was gonna wait for a sale since those squenix games tend to go on sale like a month after launch on Xbox but at $40 I’ll be there day 1.
Someone hacked Rainbow 6 Siege.
Back on the Oblivion Remastered train and put cyberpunk and metroid prime 4 on the backburner. Xbox says I have 200 hours on it so far but i believe most of it is from falling asleep from while walking to and fro.
Once my free wifi Hotspot is available from the library, ill download Starfield and jump into that again. There's something about these janky ass games that make me come back.
