The job market is insane right now. The last two times I was looking for work, I was hired immediately by different well known companies. Now all I'm getting is the scam recruiters trying to data harvest and only get paid if they hire you somewhere. Like Rose, Tanisha, Mindlance, several dozen other companies that are shady, pushy, and the most unprofessional I've ever encountered.

I am trying to keep my head up, but I'm deeply worried that given the state of the world people might think Trust and Safety isn't needed anymore. It is. More than ever.

Anyone else had luck so far among my peers?

Mainly the hostess club and accompanying sub stories were removed from the original release. New remake has more missing content.

At the time, it was a mix of disappointment and “at least we’re getting it” coping. Yakuza 2 didn’t get localized for two years. Kenzan didn’t come over. And I think 3, 4, and the zombie game sold poorly so Yakuza 5 took three years and digital only on the PS3.

Somehow Yakuza 0 hit well and made the series viable in the west.

All of the remakes have changed stuff like the Resident Evil ones, they're remakes of the story not the actual game exactly. The remasters exist for that.

Business people need to get the hell out of gaming. The momentum the industry saw during the pandemic brought a lot of the wrong people in and now there's too much money being thrown around that have raised expectations far too high. Companies went shopping and bought up devs expecting them to be a massive profit machine.

Not every game is going to put up Spider-Man or Animal Crossing numbers and we end up right here with good games that die early deaths because they weren't an instant success.

BTW, the game was in development pre pandemic.
