The fact Rockstar had RDR2 looking as good as it did on Xbox One/PS4 with those absolutely garbage CPUs at a mostly solid framerate is a testament to how much they can squeeze out of aging hardware.

I'll just chime in that as a professional game developer, this entire situation skeezes me out incredibly and is a prime example of why I don't have any social media under my real name, and why I don't talk about what companies I've worked with or games I've worked on, or even really talk about work in anything but the most general terms.



There's parasocial and then there's just straight up following people online and doing shit without asking permission. It's creepy as hell and comes across as borderline harassment and stalking. Not everyone is going to airgap their professional and personal lives and accounts to the degree I try to, but that doesn't mean it's okay to follow every single thing someone says and does across the internet and use it as gossip for fucking internet points. No, not even if you're "trying to help" them.
