People's lack of exposure to us isn't the cause of public sentiment shifting heavily the past few years. It makes people more susceptible to transphobic rhetoric but you still need that rhetoric for it to happen. People haven't just randomly started holding strong opinions about us on a whim, and they haven't suddenly become less exposed to us the past decade.

I'm not sure why you're speaking solely to online either. Right-wing politicians and traditional media have been focused heavily on anti-trans talking points for years now, without broad pushback by those on the left or major effort to inform both themselves and others on these topics as a means to counter such narratives.

Pointing to public sentiment getting worse as a means to validate people being weak on trans topics is just a self-fulfilling prophecy. It's also a frankly pathetic approach to concerns of minority rights in general.

Notice the assumption that declaring something a "minority right" inherently means it must be supported and nobody can reflect on it and realize "well, that's a bad idea." These people only perceive "rights" as basic human decency and not what they actually are, even as they scoff at ideas like free speech rights, gun rights, group rights for whites/males/Christians, due process rights, etc. Then they become "nuanced" and can see that some rights can infringe on other people's rights, your right to not be called a Zio infringes on my right to oppose genocide, your right to a fair trial infringes on my right to brutal community justice, on and on.

There was no movement, no discussion, nothing about "trans rights." These were just imposed without debate, the trans activists bragged about this how they worked back channels with governments and changed the laws and got rulings and so on. Especially in the UK they bragged about this, that even the Tories did whatever they wanted. It was just something all GOOD PEOPLE agreed was BASIC HUMAN DECENCY and that was that. Then when some of the people actually affected, women, especially radical feminists, objected to these things for years there was no opposition to dismissing those concerns by all good people.

There was never any point where people were convinced of this on the merits, a bunch of people just went along because that's what good progressive intellectuals do. You don't oppose gay and women's rights, well this is like that and you're a good person aren't you? That was the entire "discussion" and besides we don't listen to bigots and chuds anyway and that's the only people who could oppose basic human decency.

Even now with the pushback there's basically zero recognition of the fact that this is trying to impose a worldview on people by law. That it demands people reject science and evolution and actual psychology and actual observation, that it imposes a duty to believe increasingly absurd things. All to placate a bunch of self-declared mentally ill people who are mostly failed men. You say this stuff even today and you sound like a loony, even as these people can't tell you what the third sex is, how any of this was supposed to evolve, how the "life-saving care" is even supposed to work, why this is unique in the history of all mental issues (with half the movement demanding it not be called a mental issue because that implies actual treatment not ritualistic "science"), they've even poisoned the well against "what is a woman?" because chuds rightly saw how effective that question is at undermining the entire project. All of this exposes just how it's a totalitarian cult. When they bring up "we're only 0.1% of the population" it emphasizes how a tiny sliver of the population wishes to use violence to suppress any opposition against its wishes no matter what.

But because they're narcissists and as "good people" can never be wrong about anything all of this can be dismissed. Those concerns don't matter, nothing matters except achieving what I want, giving me power, and any opposition to that could only be irrational hate against me. It's a movement insisting on its actions having no consequences by law so of course it's not going to reflect on any of its actions having consequences on the question of whether or not that should be law. That's just assumed, I want it, so it should be. Anyone who disagrees can fuck off learn to obey their betters.

The entire reason DmC combat is actually not half bad was because Itsuno and the actual Devil May Cry team came in during development and gave Ninja Theory feedback. It's possible to get this stuff ironed out with the right people on board.

Keep in mind it was also going to be a quasi-movie too with Colombia pictures assisting. It sounds like a massive, spiraling budget nightmare. 

Death Stranding 1 and 2 also had many Guerrilla devs help KojiPro with Decima and do a lot of heavy lifting. Who is going to be the studio for MS to assist KojiPro as the move to UE5 or whatever? The Coalition? They have almost half as many devs as Guerrilla, unless you want them dedicated to just getting Physint out the door and nothing else. The entire thing is a gamble.

Not dissuaded by any of the criticism because I feel like one of the few people with enough media literacy to know this was going to be nothing like Spider-Man and was going to be purely an action game. Alas, modern game journos... Uh... I think if the backlash against Sony keeps happening, their 'safe movie games' are in trouble (ND is only one likely safe). Metacritic holds a massive amount of power that affects the bottomline of these companies and all kinds of negative viral tweets are going to affect the Metascore to drop a couple of points. This is also at a time when Sony is pinching pennies, shuttering studios and cancelling games left and right.
