The problem is that the consumer has paid for all this shit.

They buy all the trash like Gaylo or subscribe to the shitty online services, distribution and sales have been arranged in such a way that refunds are nigh impossible if you unpacked the game or played for more than 5 minutes. 

Cyberpunk is only good because it was patched, most other games were never patched. They remained in a broken shitty state and if for whatever demented reason you kept playing the likes of Anthem, Avengers or Concord they turned the servers off making your $100 collectors edition and DLC add ons worthless.

They all act like Wolverine is this one outlier but it's one of the few times reviewers have been honest about a AAAAAA slop release. 
Saints Row was shit, the latest Call of Duty was shit, Wolfenstein was shit, the upcoming Fable looks like shit, the list is endless. 

Most people just want to sit back and enjoy their video game only to find out the 1TB storage of their new $1500 console gets filled up with garbage promoting gay rights and gacha China slop designed to clean out your bank account. The average simple joe who only has limited access to the internet at work and is not up to speed with what is good or bad just get suckered into these brand marketing campaigns and influencer ads to pre-order $90 games only to find out they have to beta test dog shit.

For my own purposes, reviews are of no use as I play the game and form my own opinion. I normally go on a blackout mode leading up to these games, so reviews positive or negative never play a factor in my enjoyment of games anyways. What I normally do after finishing the game is go back and skim through reviews and watch playthroughs as a way to help wind down after going on that journey from start to finish.



On the topic of TLOU Part 2, any reviewer who shat on it is completely useless to me and I have zero interest in anything they have to say past, present or future. If they choose to shit on my GOAT, then fuck 'em, as far as I'm concerned.
