I noticed this too. I use my Google pixel to transcribe the audio into subtitles. The Japanese language setting is still in beta but recently it's much faster and much more readable than ever before. A year ago it was useless only catching a word here and there. Now I can watch streams in Japanese live with decent understanding of what is said. I'm sure the same tech is being used for automatic translations on YouTube.

more accurate? It's a meaningless pejorative, at least "communist" actually refers to an actual ideology.

Ranking tragedies is hard but also a bit tasteless, but that fall of the Soviet Union is up there. Highest drop in life expectancy in peace time in recorded history. Total collapse of social support leaving vulnerable people to be neglected. Even economically speaking, many former Soviet states took a decade or more to recover. Oh yeah and was a huge contributor to the rise of Putin and Russian nationalist revanchism which is where we are at now. That claim has very little if anything to do with an affinity for the Soviet Union, it's just a commonly believed idea across the world.
