Putting any kind of population in the set that they chose could be explained any number of ways.

And as far as Jewish minorities or more melanin carrying people, shit was not that uncommon that it would break immersion if your character encountered one.
They ddn't put any because they chose to exclude them from their setting or carefully selected the setting to make sure to exclude them.
As always historical accuracy is a flimsy cover over open bigotry.

I don't think it did? It's not talked about here of course, but it's still been in the most sold/played charts all year. It's also a single-player game that doesn't demand constant engagement. I think it's going to have legs for a while.

Elden Ring being on the list is very surprising to me, though.

Also, it was very successful for people who don't normally play video games. My wife loved it, played it to completion, and she never plays anything other than the occasional Fortnite.

Honestly I really don't mind shows like Bridgerton too much that just throw any accuracy out of the window and dress it up like a modern show but I worry that clowns like people on RE start thinking that's actually an accurate portrayal.
