I just don't understand what was the point of using a real person as a model reference if they had no intention of basing anything beyond maybe a couple of body animations from the model directly.

I'm not one to usually speculate in this manner, but given the studio in question... having an almost naked woman around to ogle? Outside of that my best guess is maybe it makes it easier to rig the skeleton by having a base capture? This isn't my field so I have no actual idea, just a guess.

Like. She has pretty much zero defenders. I get it; and not to do a comparison of crimes with Lizzo because his was acutely exponentially more terrible (as opposed to her accused terribleness) but lots of the media slant in regards to Puff Daddy in comparison to Weinstein definitely has a BLACK RAPPER slant; not sure why we know he had presumably legal guns in his homes since they raided mansions in gun friendly states and his 'drug mule' . That said, it's hard to have any sympathy here, it just makes me sad like you pointed out.

I think it's also not the worst idea to pause and wait before we all collectively crucify her. Like sure the lawsuit doesn't look good and if everything in there happened the way described she can pound sand but we have seen this go the other way before.

I just don't like the way the internet goes from Lizzo is the greatest person of all time sick flute to a lot of folks taking joy in dunking on her.

It’s not hypocrisy. Not really. The ethno nationalists see those guys as their people. Many cultural and religious texts have dehumanizing others built in. Any violence and horrors taken against outsiders aren’t just justified, but encouraged. Sheltered westerners don’t get that a lot of people have the most fanatical extreme right wing views for their people.
