The Pro will simply allow a better image quality for Performance modes, for those who care and can actually notice the difference. Just because Steph is unable or unwilling to notice any image quality difference does not mean it's not there or shouldn't be an option for those wo actually care.

So, if the rumours are true and Sweet Baby Rays or some other cultural sensitivity consultant was used in developing Shadows, then why the fuck are there so many cultural sensitivity issues with the game?
Especially stuff like the one-legged Torii gate?
That should be a slam dunk for any cultural sensitivity consultant worth their salt...
The whole industry, if it was actually interested in being taken seriously, should be reviewing their contracts with these snake oil salesthems and insisting on better service.

When I worked in multicultural health we did a lot of this stuff for our resources. However, we actually put together consultation groups that had a broad cross-section of representation from people involved in the specific community.
For example, for one consultation group for a resource that focussed on Muslim patients, we made sure we had an Imam, a woman who worked in aged care as a professional, a female academic with a background in health care, a layman from a community group, a male Muslim doctor, a female physiotherapist and a few more. We also made sure we had a mix of people from Middle-Eastern, Bosnian, South East Asian, Indian and other backgrounds. Consultation group was about 12 people all up.
Our resource was really good and we had no complaints from health care workers or the Muslim community and it is still in use 15+ years later.
If I can do that on the smell of an oily rag, how the fuck is a multinational corporation with the resources of UbiSlop unable to get something together to understand that making a plastic collectable out of an enduring symbol of the horrors of the actual use of nuclear weapons is probably a bad fucking idea?

Next thing I know I'm being yelled at from behind [what, precisely, I cannot be sure, I had my bluetooth earbuds in listening to the Selaco OST]. Then some sort of bun is thrown at me, to which I laugh, and continue on.
Next thing I know the "tough guy" of the couple is in my face, gesturing towards me, and out of nowhere punched me in the face in the middle of the one way street. I'm stunned, my vision went black for a second, and went I "came to", my glasses were on the road beneath me - missing their right arm.
I spend the next 20 minutes standing on the corner trying to find their missing arm [they're my favourite glasses, and remember, I'm on the spectrum, and I'm obsessive about my clothes and accessories and fashion in general]. I eventually give up, feeling foolish after so long standing on a corner trying to find something that should be easily spotted, but has mysteriously vanished from thin air.
My girlfriend comes running to comfort me, we walk home and I have spent the rest of the evening feeling the strangest melancholy I've ever felt.
The glasses were one of a kind, completely irreplaceable, and I'll certainly cling to that neurosis for far too long... But the effect this has had on my mental state is quite alarming, I'm having great difficulty moving on and can't stop replaying the moment in my head.

Anyway this has ruined my evening I was having a great day off playing Selaco [I've been in a gaming rut for years, I was doing so gud again putting some hours in!], and had planned on watching some movies tonight... but now I'm just kinda spiralling.

The strange combination of guilt, melancholy, and... glee? Reminds me of when I was almost sexually assaulted [well, I guess I was, whatever] on pride a few years back... same mixed bag of guilt, and revenge fantasy, and melancholy, and anger, and fear, and... yeah.
Has anyone else been unexpectedly assaulted in the street like this?

Nepenthe not being able to understand why people cling to symbolic gestures during a crisis is because she comes from a privileged middle class background and has faced absolutely no adversity at all in her life.
But their ideology on Era is chock full of symbolic gestures, so you'd think she'd get it - trans flag avatars and site logos, Palestine flags, etc.
