I always say I think getting a private car license should only be given if you can prove you absolutely need it, like people who have have medical or physical limitations that make having a car absolutely necessary etc.

I saw this movie back when I was a teenager and thought it was eh, while I love the Time Warp song, I never really got the movie fully. However, over the years, especially after realizing I was trans, I really began more and more to really dislike the movie to nowadays I just can't stand it and it's effect on pop culture when it comes to Trans representation (conflating trans people with crossdresser, implying we're rapists and depraved or the many villain inspired by Frank like Him in Powerpuff Girls (god I dislike that character as well) which feels like it's often encouraged transphobic views and fuelled many TERFs views on us, especially when at least in the UK still used as one of the go-tos "positive" representation of LGBTQ+. I dislike the implications that it's okay to rape people (especially the many times I've seen fans of the film try to defend it saying "But they ended up enjoying it" which is fucking despicable).

And that's not even getting into the fandom which honestly comes across in my experience as rotten, from open misogyny, downplaying rape and transphobia and fans complaining about "Political Correctness!" and "People being too easily offended, no one is safe!"; honestly my experience is that parts of that online fanbase are no better then chuds. I really dislike the idea of "Shadow Cast" where you're encouraged to shout the F slur or "Slut" at Janet (or in some cases shout "Seig Heil") at Midnight screenings and live shows.

I really dislike how the community (and honestly some parts of the LGBT!+ community as a whole) treats the idea that if you're a women not into sex, prefer not be sexual or nude, wear certain clothes etc, you're not empowered, a coward lying to themselves, failing the LGBTQ+ community or just need to be "encouraged" (I.E. shamed, pressured and bullied) into liking it. Even ignoring the erasure of Asexual women, Fuck off. Respect women's boundaries and their own personal choices. Women should not be slut shammed for enjoying sex or wearing revealing clothing, that's fucking obvious, but that doesn't mean all women enjoy those things, want to or feel comfortable doing it, some women enjoy other things and should respected as well and shouldn't be treated as something bad or a failing. Women should be able to damn whatever we fucking want.

The idea that your couples therapist didn't mention love languages or effective communication strategies is somewhat perplexing as it's rather common to incorporate.

Side-note: The advice that I have seen to "date" therapists before you arrive at one you like is a somber statement in a world where poor people with debilitating mental illness struggle with courage to even go see one. The mental and financial burden to admit you need help in this country is crazy. I feel like the only people who can shop around for therapists are richer people with the understanding they will get multiple chances to share what they are going through. If you are going to tell someone to "see a therapist." there should be a list of open and available good therapists who don't charge you for their services like everyone using them makes $200K a year.

That being said, I feel their is a big difference between straight men pushing for women to be their perfect brides and wlw and mlm fans pushing and asking for more representation (through discussion, fan art, fan fiction, shipping, feedback forms companies sometimes do, not harassment, threats, spamming devs personal media accounts etc) in their favourite works, especially if said series is lacking in that field or being very coy with it (I'm not going to be made to feel guilty for what I said earlier in the page for example), especially when the latter groups are often shammed and talked down to be straight men and women.
